RammTalk 10: German Boot Camp (Beta)

Quite how I found myself singing Olde Englishe songs with the Yeoman Warders in the RAF Club this week is anybody's guess, but I've been invited back to the Tower of London itself for a vocal rematch.  These fair-of-voice regal soldiers are very special people, as so few get to ever become a Beefeater, yet they continue a tradition that's lasted over 700 years:  the locking of the Tower of London every night, called the Ceremony of the Keys.

Barbarian hordes - listen up!  I am your Boot Camp Meister, here to teach you some German whether you are a beginner, someone who fell off the 'learn-a-language' bandwagon at school, or if you just want to get by with a little S & M (Sense & Meaning) to better appreciate Rammstein's lyrics.  Just because Mark Twain, sporting an intense dislike of German, said:

RammTalk 8: A Right Faddy Shower

The ancient White Horse in Uffington, Oxfordshire, is my most favourite place in the world.  Its timeless beauty of undulating waves of hills, carved when a melting glacier rumbled down this old valley, finds me at one with Mother Nature.  To sit where George slew the Dragon, spilling its blood and leaving a patch of forever-bare chalk (on which no grass since has grown) inspires modern storytelling.  The silence that surrounds this thoughtful place allows the mind to drift back to how it mus...

RammTalk 7: Publish - And Be Heard

It's not often I feel strongly enough to write a letter to the Editor of a paper (yet alone the London Evening Standard) but my boiling blood on reading Sebastian Shakespeare's recent dismissal of self publishers could have been scooped up by Till Lindemann himself and added to the pot of gently simmering assorted body parts in Mein Teil.

So I put spare rib to paper and carved a reply on an overhanging skin parchment to make sure my point was heard.  This is what I wrote:
